  My wife and I have visited this establishment a number of times over the last couple of years and it is one of our top two places to go for excellent food, tasty drinks and friendly people. My wife loves the Jumbo shrimp and the Southern Comfort Old Fashions. I enjoy their catfish or beef tenderloin steak. We both enjoy going to the salad bar as it has everything you need...especially the herring. Chris, Linda and their staff do a tremendous job of taking care of everyone that enters their place with excellent service and a pleasant smile. Its not a huge place to dine and not a large bar but the place is ALWAYS busy with people that drive by auto or come by boat. We recommend sitting a spell outside on their patio and take in the beautiful flowers that Linda has nurtured along and enjoy the Mississippi River and the boaters that go by. This is one of the fun supper clubs that us Mid westerners really appreciate and we think you will too once you pay it a visit.

  Stopped in about 8 pm on a stormy Saturday night. Linda who I believe was the owner greated me and my wife I as we entered the restaurant. She was apologetic that they had started shutting the kitchen down because no one had come in latey because of the storm.
  She seated us and said they would open the kitchen up for us. She got our drinks, took our order and brought us some plates for the salad bar.
  The salad bar and our dinner was great. I had the pork rib eye and my wife had the butterfly shrimp. We will definitely be going back when we stay in the area this coming September.

  Spruce Harbor was hopping on this early-season Friday night. Dining hall was full of energy, if a bit noisy. The view of the Mississippi River flowing behind the restaurant was very accessible from our table. Food was OK--the broasted chicken was standard Midwest fair, if a bit bland. The baked salmon was a tad dry. The salad bar had all the standards. The Old Fashioned from the bar was nicely stout, however.
